What we do:

Our mission is to provide quality and affordable healing services in a comfortable community setting.  We believe everyone should have access to quality holistic health modalities at a price they can afford, and that all practitioners have should have the ability to earn a fair wage for their work.

What do you mean by “Community Setting”?

PBC At hawthorneThis means that when you get your session, others will be in the same room getting treated, too.  The treatment space is an open room with no partitions or dividers.  Many of the services we provide were traditionally offered this way.  In all of the services we offer, the client is fully clothed – the only thing you need to remove is your shoes!

In addition to making affordability possible, a group setting is something to be experienced.  The shared healing energy of the room improves the more people are there.  The environment is amazing!  You can get treated alongside your friend, loved one, or partner.  Schedule subsequent appointments with the same practitioner or simultaneous appointments with different practitioners and discover a new, affordable,  healthy activity to share with one another.

What about privacy? Do I have to discuss personal matters in front of strangers?

We request everyone arrive at least 20 minutes before their treatment to fill out some paperwork, allow the practitioner the chance to review it, and then chat with you one on one before entering the treatment room.  You will never be asked to share your personal health matters to a group. If you wish, you may leave some information in the “details” field when scheduling online; or call the office at 267-571-WELL to request a callback from your practitioner so you may discuss in length any questions, concerns or issues you may have.

How much does it cost? What is a “Sliding Scale”?

Also called a “variable suggested fee”,  a sliding scale is a guideline to help clients determine their cost for services based around their income and what they can afford.  At Philly Community Wellness, the client determines what a service costs using the scale without any income verification. Not all paychecks and financial obligations are created equal.  You know what is affordable yet meaningful to you, and that’s just fine with us.  And no matter what you pay on the sliding scale, your treatment is the same.

Sliding scales vary slightly between services.  Many services start as low as $30/hour and some sessions are available in half hour increments starting around $20.   The scheduling section of the website lists the range for each modality clearly, or you can call the office for more information.

How do I make an appointment? Do you accept walk-ins?

We DO NOT accept walk ins.

The best ways to schedule an appointment are to go to “book a session” to book online or to call the office at 267-571-WELL.  When calling the office, please note that we do not accept phone calls from blocked, private or anonymous phone numbers.  If the home or cellular phone you are calling us from falls into one of these categories and you wish to schedule an appointment, please book online or call us on a different line.  Some appointments scheduled online are confirmed via phone call.  To avoid having your appointment canceled, please use a valid telephone number.
